What does sustainability mean for the art world?

Sustainability in art inspires social consciousness. With the rise of plastics in the ocean and how harmful it is for our marine life, I got an opportunity to create a public art installation on similar lines. A giant Christmas tree was installed at the time of the festivities to evoke a sense of awakening among the people about the adverse effects of plastic. It was made out of 700 plastic bags. It is through these art forms and installations, we believe to inspire social and cultural change.

Tell us a bit about your journey of becoming a contemporary artist.

Though I studied art, I began my journey as a product designer working for the premium category. It took me years to realise that my medium and I are both meant to cater to the art segment.
