A lion’s share of a woman’s anxiety is an estranged husband. A husband, sitting right next to you with his arm ardently wrapped around your shoulder and yet totally unaware of your sentiments.

A husband, right beside you, who can’t seem to read through your turmoil even as your lips pronounce it out for him. He is someone who cannot make sense of your emotional language no matter how eloquently you put it. It’s almost like living with a naive youngling who remains totally unaffected by the feelings of his beloved. You shower him with unconditional love but he innately remains self-absorbed. Your man sometimes is no better than a grown-up version of this unyielding child. God only knows what all you’ve tried to come to terms with it. You’ve tried ignoring it, you’ve even attempted to reason it out and make yourself believe that ‘maybe it’s just the way he is’ but somehow you cannot seem to gulp it down your throat. This is the person who promised to walk another world with you and here he is leaving you emotionally half starved. But let me tell you, he is not as culpable as he seems to be, part of the problem is the way his brain is hardwired.
