Makings Of A Star
Harper's Bazaar Bride
|December 2017 - January 2018
With our guards down and captivated by her aura, we attempted to unravel the enigmatic Kareena Kapoor Khan.
BORROWING FROM THE ERA OF SWING, couturier Manish Malhotra’s designs sit daintily on actor Kareena Kapoor Khan’s enviable frame. For her fourth cover shoot with BAZAAR BRIDE, Kareena is as poised as ever, her slender figure a result of hardwork soon after her son Taimur’s arrival. There is this air of calm around her as she gets ready to strike a series of memorable poses. She is easy-going despite her immense stature and jam-packed schedule, she doesn’t bother to fuss over her clothes, she doesn’t rush you to get on with the shoot, in fact she is perfectly fine with the makeup we want to get done as well. There is seemingly nothing that can shake her, not even the multiple outfit changes. It is this awe-inspiring avatar of Kareena Kapoor Khan that we sit down with to discuss the changes in her personal and professional life, her amazing transformation soon after pregnancy, and the regimes she religiously follows to maintain flawless skin.
KAREENA SPEAKS
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH MANISH ONCE AGAIN FOR OUR COVER? I have always done so many covers with BAZAAR BRIDE, but this was most special because I absolutely love Manish. He is a master craftsman and I respect him not only as a designer but also as one of my most loyal friends. He is truly the best whether it is a cocktail dress, a wedding lehenga, an outfit for a movie—he just whips it all out of his hat.
