Raheesh Khatri. Remember this name, because a few years down the line you will be supporting this young man from Mumbai at the international stage of motorcycling. But right now he isn’t a young man; he is but a little boy, all of 8. He might be knee high to a calf, but he stands tall among India’s motorcycle athletes.

From the time he could walk and talk, motorcycles are the only thing he could think about. His first words were ‘vroom vroom’, mimicking the sound and action of going full gas on a motorcycle! His parents, Mudassar and Kainat saw the love of motorcycling in their child and have nurtured his talent and passion. Dad Mudassar, being a motorcycle racer himself, had the advantage of knowing the sport and being confident of allowing his son on the saddle of a bike. We talk to Mudassar about Raheesh’s journey as a motorcycle racer, the past, present and future:

Mudassar Khatri: I do ride motorcycles & have been riding since the age of 7, started with the Kinetic and then moved to bikes by 14
