TRUE STORY, A DEAR FRIEND ONCE owned the Koleos. Now this was before anybody knew anything about Renault; the Duster that established the brand was still a year away and the mass market cars weren’t even on the horizon. My friend had studied in the US and it was unlikely he’d have heard of the brand since Renault didn’t and still doesn’t have a presence there. Nope. The reason he bought the Koleos was that it had a Bose sound system, and more importantly Bose badging on the fenders and door step. The quirks of the Indian car buyer never cease to amaze!
