Hyundai Elantra Gets A Mid-Life Facelift

Hyundai unveiled the Elantra facelift for global markets last year and the company has now brought the updated model to India. It gets a comprehensive exterior makeover, changes to the interior and additions to the features list as well but mechanically it remains largely the same. While the design of the pre-facelift model was a bit please-all, the renewed exterior is certainly going to divide opinion. There are plenty of sharp cuts and creases around with new triangular LED headlamps and triangular turn indicators lower down in the bumper. The Elantra’s nose also features the latest rendition of Hyundai’s cascading grille and the bonnet has been re-skinned featuring a prominent bulge down the centre. Towards the rear the tail lamps get sharp LED detailing along with bold ‘Elantra’ lettering spread across the boot. The number plate housing has moved down to the bumper which also features a faux diffuser like element.
