The Honda Civic has enjoyed nearly 50 years of existence to date. Revered among enthusiasts of yore, EG6, EK9 and throwing such chassis codes at a meet-up meant that they knew their Civics well while the B16 engine became the holy grail for Honda tuners. The Civic’s rich history was also made outside the streets, on racetracks. The Civic was raced and successfully so before the clock turned rapidly towards the future as it had to don a tailored suit for the up and coming executives. The high-performance Type R versions still lapped the Nurburgring to keep the current generation of enthusiasts happy while the design progressed into an ever-evolving sharp, futuristic form.
