A home-bred Welsh broodmare steals the show, a former hunt horse dominates over sticks and Irish Draughts perform
ARGUABLY one of the most poignant supreme wins of the 2021 term happened here at this popular county show, when the Bigley family’s Welsh section D mare Llanarth Elin trotted off with the Welsh in-hand supreme and Price Family qualification, handled by Simon Bigley. While several Llanarth prefixed ponies have graced HOYS before, this will be Elin’s first appearance.
The 11-year-old by Trevallion Hooch is out of the prestigious show mare Llanarth Nellie, also the dam of the multi-garlanded Llanarth Prince Of Wales.
