Pets Are Us

In March 2016, Bengaluru-based Sujit Paul and Rosie Paul were travelling with their beloved pet, Daisy, a German Shepherd, when the dog suddenly fell sick. She started puking blood, the intensity of vomit increased even as they struggled to reach a vet, but none was available in the night and she breathed her last. The distraught pet parents then decided to launch Woofwoofnow offering pet taxi, online vet consultation, medical record management, a mobile medical dispensary, and pet merchandise. Founded in May 2019, the startup claims to be India’s first telemedicine platform for all pets. “Our online vet consultation initiative, Global Pet Consulting, allows you to connect with your veterinarian via webcam, or mobile phone for non-emergency care,” informs Dr Sujit Paul to Buddy Life Magazine. “E-Consultations enable you to chat with your veterinarian through the Woofwoofnow online platform, ensuring quality care throughout the day. If you have questions about your pet, an e-Consultation is your first port of call, providing easy access to your veterinarian without disrupting daily activities.” The veterinarians work closely with the pet parents to provide services that not only fit their pet’s consultation requirements, but also offers a high degree of speed and seamlessness. “Regardless of the pet, all our pet parents would have access to experienced doctors as well as world-class online consultation experience to ensure all consultations have desired outcomes,” he says. Here are excerpts from Dr Paul’s interview:

Over the years, you have created fortunes for several companies across the globe. you were part of large organizations and have been a gamechanger in the industry. Could you share some thoughts on the same?
