In this issue we have more ‘satisfaction in the lesser moments’ stories, than ‘epic adventures’ to share with you. Naomi Peterson, Andrew Randall and Tony Dawson have focused on lesser moments, very small windows of opportunity. We’ve called these quite short outings ‘fishing quickies’, and each has a slightly different perspective and some wisdom to share as they relate what a fishing quickie looks like and plays out for them. Dan Govier takes the family for a relaxed overnight potter and a fish in the Marlborough Sounds and a sneaky early morning mission for snapper close to Nelson. Two of our team, Dan Govier and Pete McGregor have a rundown on boating etiquette which covers both conduct on the water while fishing and at the boat ramp, timely considerations and to be taken to heart to avoid the frustration and maximise the satisfaction of fishing outings. John Eichelsheim’s story about an outing in the Bay of Islands is a delight. There's something here for all fishing enthusiasts!
