On the theme of museums and the exhibitionary mode of practice and discourse, Smila Dalvi's ‘Why exhibit architecture?’ triggers a series of discussions by referencing A K Coomaraswamy’s ‘Why exhibit works of art?’ We also feature an essay on Frei Otto who was recently named the 2015 Pritzker laureate, outlining the elaborate journey of the master. Further, two projects by SJK Architects and LIJO.RENY Architects showcase the breadth of architectural scope and work – while one deals with restoration and conservation of old heritage structures, the other strives to stand out, icnonic and stoic, within its chaotic mileu.
