चीनी उद्योग कोरोना संकट के कारण आर्थिक तंगी से जूझ रहा है। आइसक्रीम, कोल्डड्रिंक और चॉकलेट जैसे विविध प्रकार के उत्पादों के कन्फेक्शनरों और निर्माताओं से औद्योगिक इस्तेमाल के लिए मांग में गिरावट के कारण चीनी की बिक्री ठप है। ऐसे समय में उद्योग सरकार से राहत की उम्मीद कर रहा है।
