The months of March is celebrated the world over as the month to celebrate all thing 'Woman' so commemorating International Women's Day and the strong women all over the world this issue of FWD Business celebrates all thing Woman from our inspiring lead story of the first woman captain of the Indian Merchant Navy and the first women to be awarded by the IMO for her exceptional bravery in the dramatic rescue of seven fishermen from a sinking fishing boat in tumultuous Bay of Bengal waters.Captain Menon was kind enough to spend a bit of her precious time with us and share her amazing story that we've narrated in full detail in 'O Captain! My Captain!'.
Commandeering a ship is an exceptionally hard job, but as the saying goes, the hardest job in the world is without a doubt, that of a parent. We've all thought about raising our children and nurturing them, but have we ever stopped to think about how much it would actually cost to raise our child from conception to independence?
