Somerset hand young star Rew a rookie deal

New contract ties wicketkeeper-batsman to the club until 2027
SOMERSET have rewarded highly-rated wicketkeeper-batsman Thomas Rew for his continued development with a rookie contract at the County Ground.
The 17-year-old younger brother of Somerset batsman James made his first class debut for the club earlier this season in the Vitality T20 Blast and his new deal will run from November 1 to the end of October 2027.
The first year of the contract will be carried out in conjunction with King's College in order to ensure that his cricket and academic programme are optimally aligned.
