Businesses contend with use of AI-powered workers
Vietnam Investment Review
|June 29, 2026
Companies are entering a new phase of digital transformation driven by AI, with digital employees increasingly taking on routine and data-intensive tasks.
However, its rapid adoption is raising questions over trust, accountability, and reliability of outputs.
Vietnam is beginning to see some of its earliest examples of AI-powered digital workers. Fashion retailer YODY advertised a dedicated agentic AI product owner position in June, suggesting that even consumer businesses are preparing for what could become the next stage of digital transformation.
One of the largest examples so far came on June 9, when KPMG and Microsoft announced the global expansion of Agent 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot across KPMG’s network of more than 276,000 employees in 138 countries.
The initiative builds on earlier deployments in which employees used Copilot to draft documents, conduct research and analyse data. The next stage involves developing specialised AI agents to support auditing, tax advisory, risk management and customer services.
For KPMG Asia-Pacific’s professionals, AI becomes part of everyday work, enhancing productivity, quality and consistency, and enabling delivery at global scale. For clients, the shift from pilots to enterprise-wide, secure AI deployment, with governance, control and agent-powered operating models built in.
