Speaking to The Statesman, Rishi KohliChief Investment Officer, Jio-BlackRock AMC, explains their various strategies including funds rollout plans and how they are majorly focussing on risk management as the overall objective to target attractive alpha at lower risk than the category, having kept in mind that the entire process has many risk management layers inbuilt.

Q: What is the strategy like of Jio BlackRock? I mean, who leverages which strength of others and how?

A: There are clear synergies of both Jio and BlackRock in this JV which is Jio-BlackRock AMC - BlackRock is driving the investment and risk functions which are their core expertise along with providing the Aladdin platform which makes the entire process data driven and highly efficient and integrated while Jio provides the digital retail reach across the length and breadth of India, which allows us to focus on direct-only plans.

Q: How do you plan a comprehensive product suite including active and passive funds?
