LAUNCHING a broadside against the Modi dispensation over "security lapses" in Pahalgam terror attack and its "failed foreign policy", DMK MP Kanimozhi on Tuesday hit out at the government alleging that it "discovers Tamil culture only during election season".

- PREETHA NAIR @New Delhi

Participating in the debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha, Kanimozhi alleged that the "Vishwaguru" failed the people of his own country.

"Just before elections, you visit Tamil Nadu and invoke Tamil culture. But you don't accept archaeological evidence like Keezhadi, which highlights Tamil contributions to civilisation," said the MP.

On Modi's visit to Gangaikonda Cholapuram temple, she said: "Remember the name—Gangaikonda Cholan, the Chola king who conquered the Ganga. He was a Tamil."
