Sheriff Rochelle Bilal announced a comprehensive operational reorganization plan to modernize and streamline real estate operations, improve efficiency, and strengthen services for Philadelphia residents and stakeholders.

The reorganization follows an extensive review of internal operations and reflects the Office’s ongoing commitment to transparency, modernization, and continuous improvement.

Among the key initiatives is the restructuring of the Sheriff’s Office Real Estate Division, which oversees sheriff sales, deed processing, and related real estate transactions. The reorganization includes enhanced staff training, updated operational procedures, and new technology initiatives designed to improve customer service and reduce processing delays.

As part of the modernization effort, the Sheriff's Office is developing a Deed Tracker System that will allow sheriff sale purchasers to track the status of their deeds throughout the recording process, providing greater transparency and access to information.
