JOHN Stones says one of his “greatest achievements” has been to keep bouncing back from his injury setbacks.

The 32-year-old, restricted to 18 appearances for Manchester City last season, has been dogged by a series of injuries in recent years and revealed in October that he considered retiring as a player.
Stones (right), who is expected to start as England’s centre-half in their World Cup opener against Croatia on Wednesday, told the BBC: “It was a difficult period when I said that and I hope I don’t get to that again.
