NEARLY 100 Greater Manchester railway stations will be served by yellow Bee Network trains by 2030, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has confirmed.
NEARLY 100 Greater Manchester railway stations will be served by yellow Bee Network trains by 2030, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has confirmed.
Mayor Andy Burnham made a major announcement yesterday in which he confirmed he will take rail services into public control in a similar manner to the buses. Bus franchising completed on January 5.
He is promising simpler fares, eventually integrated with bus and tram tickets in a 'tap-in, tap out' system and better services.
"Our rail system today is acting as a brake on growth and, as the UK's fastest growing city-region, Greater Manchester deserves better," the mayor said.
