TRANMERE recorded their first three points of the season with a dominant 4-0 win over Shrewsbury Town at Prenton Park on Saturday.

- By LOUIS PARR at Prenton Park

Two quickfire goals from Taylan Harris and Josh Davison provided Rovers with a comfortable early lead, before Omari Patrick and Kristian Dennis sealed victory in the second half.

Will Boyle was sent off for the visitors after the interval, as Andy Crosby's side continued their unbeaten start to the season.

Tranmere set out of the traps immediately, much to the delight of a raucous home crowd, with Davison driving narrowly wide on eight minutes, after a spell of sustained pressure.

Charlie Whitaker was next to go close for Rovers, dazzling his way past two defenders before blazing over from distance.
