Seasiders owner Simon Sadler celebrated victory at Royal Ascot as Ten Bob Tony became the longest-priced winner of the G1 Queen Anne Stakes since Garrick in 1950.
Trained by Ed Walker, the winner was sent off at 50/1 in the Royal Ascot curtain raiser on Tuesday.
Having just his third run over a mile — the last one being in May 2024 — Ten Bob Tony stayed on strongly under Kieran Shoemark to win by half a length from More Thunder.
Blackpool owner Sadler said: “This horse is named after my dad. That was his nickname because he used to run a 50p — or 10 bob — stall on the market in Blackpool.
