Govt eyes reviving Hua Hin route to Kuala Lumpur

The government is moving ahead with its plan to improve aviation safety standards at the airport in Hua Hin and to study the feasibility of restoring direct flights between the popular resort town and the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
Authorities hope the move will boost tourism and investment in Thailand’s upper southern region and Gulf coast, said Deputy Transport Minister Phattrapong Phattraprasit.
The minister said the government is accelerating efforts to transform Hua Hin Airport into an international commercial aviation and tourism hub.
