Egco expands stake in Linden Top

Electricity Generating Plc (Egco) has acquired an additional 10% share in Linden Cogeneration, a 980-megawatt gas-fired co-generation facility supplying electricity to New York City, in a bid to maintain its growth momentum in the US.

The purchase has increased the company’s shareholding in power plant operator Linden Top from 28% to 38%, said newly appointed president Tawatchai Sumranwanich. The value of the purchase was not disclosed.
