Just as you were wrapping your head around ghosting, love bombing and benching comes another term that has the potential to rock the romance boat. Say hello to micro-cheating. 

According to Dr Kamna Chhibber, consultant clinical psychologist at Fortis La Femme, Delhi, “In contrast to our usual idea of cheating, micro-cheating attributes meaning to the seemingly harmless things such as texting someone without your partner’s knowledge or lying about your relationship status.” In short, it is an exchange that may or may not involve being physically unfaithful to your partner and yet have shades of infidelity, more so in the times of social media.

While the jury is still out on whether micro-cheating is a sly cousin of cheating or we are reading too much into it, experts say these signs could point towards trouble.
