She is the queen of kitsch,and the brand she’s teamed up with has championed an experimental sensibility for over three decades. A collaboration between the two—designer Nida Mahmood and label Satya Paul—sets the stage for an exciting interpretation of Indian art. The capsule collection that Mahmood launched at Amazon India Fashion Week this year for Club SP has modern silhouettes, but borrows heavily from a wealth of Indian embroideries, patterns and colours. We spoke to Mahmood, who joins Satya Paul as a design consultant, to find out more about the venture.
