Welly is compact, so you don’t need a car to get around – just good walking shoes. The new Oaks Hotel is smack bang in the middle of Courtenay Place, handy to the vibrant heart of the city. Originally built in 1922 as the Ford car assembly plant, today it’s a modern nine-storey hotel, with great value rooms and sweet city views. I liked being able to dash back to my room to dump shopping bags and have a quick freshen up … or a nana nap!
