1st & Ten with JUSTIN ZIMMER
Bills Digest|November 15, 2020
Creating a long-term home in the NFL has not been a piece of cake for Justin Zimmer — but he may be finding one with the Buffalo Bills.
1st & Ten with JUSTIN ZIMMER

Zimmer, 28, was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster prior to Buffalo’s Monday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs and provided an instant boost, nearly changing the outcome of the game with an apparent forced fumble (that was later overturned via replay). Pro Football Focus considered Zimmer to be Buffalo’s highest-rated interior defensive lineman in that game, and he was active once again the following week against the New York Jets. Here’s a look at what Zimmer recently had to say about his journey and what he’s continuing to work on in order to make his stay in Buffalo a permanent one.

1 You’re a guy that’s been up and around NFL rosters for a while now ... I’m sure you know what every type of possible transaction means. What is it like for a guy like that’s been on the fringes of an NFL roster for so many years? What kind of life has that been like for you?

QUARTERBACKS: TOP AVAILABLE FREE AGENTS

Dak Prescott, Cowboys 6-2 • 235 pounds • 27 years old A solid starter who has a nice TD-INT ratio over his first five seasons (104-40), Prescott is an accurate thrower and very mobile. However, he’s coming off a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle, so it remains to be seen if this will impact his game moving forward.

Hunter Henry, Chargers 6-5 • 250 pounds • 29 years old A very talented player, Henry has had issues staying healthy, unable to complete an NFL season, including missing the entire 2018 season with a torn ACL. But when healthy, he’s a terrific all-around tight end who really connected with Justin Herbert in 2020 with 60 catches. Henry is very good at finding holes in zone coverage.
