Does this UM Renegade Commando motorcycle live up to its name? We find out.
The word “Commando” brings to your mind images of tough and brawny soldiers with black grease paint smeared across their face and wearing fatigues with all kinds of weapons strapped around them, looking menacing and purposeful as they walk around. But did you know there is a motorcycle from UM Motorcycles, a company based in the US that goes by the name “Commando”?
This Renegade Commando comes with a 280cc engine that produces a peak power of 24bhp and 21Nm of torque. These are really good numbers but you get to enjoy the maximum amount of power and torque only close to the top end of the rpm band which means that you really have to rev the engine in order to get it to its best. The engine comes mated to a 6 speed transmission. The bike has overdrive gear so while you are cruising in the 6th gear you can actually ride at slower speeds as well. The only hindrance in the experience is caused by the somewhat clunky nature of the gear shifts.
While the exhaust note on the Renegade Commando is sweet to listen to, it is not as good as its sibling - the Renegade Sport S. I personally found this a bit odd since the Commando is supposed to be a proper cruiser so it should have had that deep rumble like sound and not the Sport S which is aimed to be sportier.

BMW iX E-Car Achieves 5-Stars In Euro NCAP Test
The BMW iX premium electric car which has been launched in India, has achieved five-star ratings in all test categories of the Euro NCAP crash test. In the assessment of adult occupant protection, the testers highlighted among other features the effectiveness of the new interactive airbag between the driver and front passenger seats, which provides additional protection against injury in the event of a side collision. Child safety in the rear of the BMW iX was also given the highest possible score for both frontal and side collisions.
