The all-electric SUV is the Czech car manufacturer’s first production model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) modular electric car platform.
The name of the new Skoda Enyaq is derived from the Irish name ‘enya’, meaning ‘source of life’. The ‘E’ is in reference to electro-mobility, while the ‘Q’ characterises the final letter of Skoda’s successful SUV family that includes the likes of Karoq, Kamiq and Kodiaq.
