YAMAHAHA... SORRY?
I'VE ALWAYS LOVED GS SUZUKIS - MY FIRST BIKE AFTER PASSING MY TEST IN '89 WAS A f500 850G, AND I RODE THAT FOR A FEW YEARS BEFORE CHOPPING IT INTO A LOWRIDER THAT WOUND UP IN BSH. THREE MORE 850S, AND A 750 (ALONG WITH ABOUT 35 OTHER BIKES), 25 YEARS, AND FOUR CONTINENTS LATER, I BOUGHT A BUTT UGLY COBRA ENGINEERING FRAMED '93 HARLEY FXR.

I really didn't like the look much so the Mustang tank, rabbit ear 'bars, wheels, front end, seat and bodywork were sold off immediately, and an old mate, Dale, dug out a GS850 tank, and a pair of TDM850 wheels. I bought a ZZR1100 front end, and modified the frame to take the yokes, and cut the tank base out and formed a new one to fit the frame, and John Allison MIG-welded it in. With a rolling chassis made, I loaded it into the Merc 508D I'd been restoring at my brother's in Norfolk and drove back to my home to Helsinki.

A while later, after the frame'd ended up with a café racer seat loop, and halfway through making a stainless steel seat hump/oil tank, I decided that, as everyone was doing café racers, I wasn't going to follow, and the H-D/ GS re-style began.
