Hina Bhatt Art Ventures (HBAV) in 2019 to create a platform for fellow artists. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world paused, HBAV became a source of hope for artists nationwide. Hina envisions art as accessible to all and believes creativity can drive meaningful social change. To strengthen her mission, she completed a Professional Certificate in Management of Social Initiatives at IIM Kozhikode. In 2022, she established the Hina Bhatt Art Foundation (HBAF). Its first major art event in 2023 was a grand success, and the foundation continues to support and recognise emerging artists, curators, and researchers for their outstanding work.

What inspired you to transition from being a practicing artist to founding Hina Bhatt Art Ventures (HBAV) in 2019?

Hina Bhatt Art Ventures (HBAV) was founded to give young artists visibility and space to grow. We offer platforms to showcase their work, conduct art-related activities, and provide funding support. What began as an informal, artist-first initiative has now evolved to build organisational recognition and reach wider audiences.

The COVID-19 pandemic became an opportunity for you. How did you turn HBAV into a supportive platform for artists across the country?
