WE LOVEL MAKING OUR READERS LAUGH!

Brothers Carter and Marlow Wright have loved reading since they were tiny. After devouring all the graphic novels in their local library, they decided they needed something else to read – so they opted to write their own book.

“We wanted to call it PooHeads because we thought it would be funny and make people laugh,” Carter, nine, tells Woman’s Day.

The Queensland brothers get up at 5am every day, so had plenty of time to work on their project before school.

“We wrote down all our ideas,” says Marlow, eight. “We had lots so made them into a story for our book.”

When their mum Maddi saw the ideas, she knew they were onto something. She approached illustrator and cartoonist Stu Thornton to help them bring their ideas to life.

“He did it all free of charge to support the boys,” says Maddi.
