Time apart has brought the couple closer together

It’s often when the person isn’t by your side that you suddenly realise how much you love them – and insiders say that’s the case for Bec and Lleyton Hewitt, who’ve been living increasingly separate lives over the past few years.

While Bec, 39, has been busy building a life for herself in Sydney and looking after their two daughters Mia, 16, and Ava, 11, Lleyton has been based at the couple’s Gold Coast home or jetting around the world with their son Cruz, 13, as he continues to pursue his dream tennis career.

“Bec and Lleyton have become increasingly independent since they returned to Australia a few years ago and I think it’s probably made their marriage stronger,” reveals one family friend.
