Fears for the actor’s health are mounting

In April this year, George Clooney sent shockwaves through Hollywood when he turned up to an LA party on his own without his wedding ring. While some speculated he was having problems at home with his human-rights-lawyer wife, Amal, sources can confirm that the real reason for his missing ring is much more worrying.

“George is shrinking,” says a close concerned pal. “He’s lost an inch off his height and at least 15lbs [6.8kg] – and it’s why he wasn’t wearing his ring – it’s too big. Of course, George losing weight has everyone freaking out. Last time he ended up on a hospital bed, so there are real alarm bells being raised over this.”

The 62-year-old actor unveiled his increasingly slim frame at the Prince’s Trust Awards in London in May. The formerly 180cm star stood head-to-head next to his 174cm wife, Amal, 45, prompting a shocked onlooker to tell the National Enquirer, “People were commenting on how thin George has gotten. His friends worry he’s not taking proper care of himself… He has no muscle to brag about.”
