Forget the state of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage – the wildest rumour doing the rounds in royal circles is that Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales are secretly feuding, putting King Charles “in a dangerous position”.

Royal sources say the women have been struggling to get along for months with mounting jealousy over “can-do Kate’s” popularity as she continues to dominate headlines for everything from playing the piano at Eurovision to stealing the spotlight from the King, 74, and Queen, 75, at the Chelsea Flower Show!

Just last week, royal commentators speculated on why Kate has not yet been installed as a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter, amid rumours the Queen might be behind the decision to delay it.

According to royal author Tom Bower, the friction dates to the King’s coronation when normally cool-headed Kate, 41, was so angry that she refused to curtsy to the new Queen.
