With Britney Spears still reeling after her husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce, it seems that we may get a glimpse into the real story sooner rather than later, with Netflix said to be swooping in to grab the rights to make a factual series.

With the streaming powerhouse having a hit on its hands thanks to its docuseries Depp V Heard, Netflix's sights are firmly set on the 41-year-old singer's controversial and sad break-up.

"Netflix are taking the situation seriously," says a source. "[They] want to give her the full documentary treatment, not unlike the Johnny and Amber series.
