Spark joy by adding pattern and print to your wardrobe without it taking over

In my head, I think I’m ‘print averse’ – preferring to keep pattern for artwork and home furnishings rather than my body. But my wardrobe tells a different story. It reveals a selection of stripes, leopard spots and a small sprinkling of section is a drop in the ocean of navy and olive green, but maybe I’m letting go of my minimalist tendencies! ‘I think it’s a shame to be nervous of wearing prints,’ says designer Justine Tabak. ‘I often get stopped in the street wearing a print dress (rarely in a plain). Prints bring out a spark of joy for yourself and others.’
