'Life experience HAS ITS BENEFITS'

What are you like first thing in the morning?

I'm up and about by 6am. I live in the countryside, so I often go for a walk. I've always tried to stay in good shape, but as I've got older, I've realised that I need to work a bit harder. So after a walk, I'll do some stretching. It sounds very noble, but it's actually a necessity.

What's your worst habit?

Impatience. I'm always busy, so I often rush into things because I'm keen to make things happen. I'm quite bad at finishing people's sentences if they're taking too long. I've tried to rein myself in!

If you were home alone, what would you do?

If it's a nice day, I like to read in the garden. I'm not good at sitting still, so I'll end up weeding. At night, I'll watch a movie or a trashy TV series. I'm watching Desperate Housewives again - don't judge me!

Who or what makes you happiest?

My kids, my grandkids and my best friends. We try to do a few girls' holidays a year and have just come back from skiing in Italy. They're my oldest friends and we always have such a good giggle.

What scares you the most?
