When Simon Cowell was asked to make his new Netflix show, The Next Act, everyone expected him to be at the forefront. But, instead, an unlikely star emerged - Lauren, his steadfast partner of 13 years.

The new TV star, who shares son Eric, 11, with Simon and is mum to Adam, 19, from her marriage to businessman Andrew Silverman, has largely kept out of the spotlight during her relationship with the media mogul. Until now.

'Everyone who knows me knows how private I am, so the past two years on this project has been such a new experience,' she said ahead of her TV debut. Lauren, 48, added, 'This is something we have been working on as a family every day... It's terrifying but so exciting at the same time.'

But while it might have been out of her comfort zone, the move has paid off, with one TV insider revealing, 'This will be the making of Lauren.' Here, we take a look at who the woman who tamed serial bachelor Simon is, and what we can expect next from her...
