HELP! I'M PETRIFIED OF PIXIES

This might sound silly, but I work for a big firm, and they are putting on a charity day for Christmas, where each team chooses a theme, and we all donate to Alzheimer's Research UK. I desperately want to support them as my late father had dementia, but my colleagues want us all to dress up as pixies. I have an utter phobia of pixies. What should I do?

Don't be embarrassed - confide in one of your colleagues. In the long-term, your GP can refer you for help in addressing this phobia, but it's vital that you voice your fears and that your department looks at an alternative theme so that you (and, potentially, your colleagues) are able to fully participate and enjoy the day.

Too sleepy to celebrate
