‘THERE’S A REAL ADRENALINE RUSH’

Catherine Holmes, 64, lives in Chelmsford, Essex with her husband Graeme, 67. She has three children, two stepchildren and a grandson.

I was born in Australia and, although we moved to England when I was four, I have always adored the ocean. Being underwater is where I feel at peace, so I would try to dive at least once a year on family holidays. I often took photos on a simple camera to keep a record of my experiences, but as I got older, running my dental practice and bringing up children meant it was impossible to dive enough to learn more about underwater photography.
