The jeering has TO STOP!

Kerre has a score to settle with the bad sports who boo at the rugby

The jeering has TO STOP!

I was lucky enough to be at Eden Park to see the All Blacks play the Springboks a couple of weeks ago.

What a night! All week leading up to the game, there had been a sense of occasion in Auckland. The South African rugby team hadn't beaten the All Blacks in 50 attempts at Eden Park – their last win there was in 1937 – but they had beaten the All Blacks the last four times the two teams had met. So there was a lot on the line for both sides and their supporters.

On the day of the match, it was a South African invasion in Auckland. I counted hundreds of men and women wearing green and gold jerseys on the streets and in the malls. When I took my seat for kickoff, it looked to be pretty much 50/50 when it came to supporters and the sense of anticipation was keen.

The lights went out at Eden Park and a spotlight shone on a group of young people in the middle of the field.
