Our Summer Outdoor Entertainment Guide

A Laughing Matter

If you're a comedy enthusiast, there is plenty to look forward to this summer. A series of Comedy Garden shows will be taking place across the country, featuring some of our favourite comics in unique locations, including venues such as Verulamium Park in St Albans, Queen Square in Bristol and Preston Park in Brighton. Enjoy talent including Ed Byrne, Sara Pascoe, Dylan Moran and Jack Dee. We guarantee you'll crack a smile! The award-winning entertainment is accompanied by tasty street food and bars run by local vendors. Head to fifty-seven.co.uk to find your nearest show and purchase tickets.

Outdoor Opera

Head to the UK's first country opera house, Glyndebourne, for their famous summer opera festival. The black-tie event welcomes guests to pick a spot on the venue's picturesque lawn in East Sussex, pop down your picnic basket (don't forget the champagne!) and enjoy the show. As well as world-class opera, there is a pop-up art gallery to explore, a gorgeous rose garden and a popular bar serving food and drink. This summer will feature new productions of Don Giovanni, Semele and Dialogues des Carmélites, plus much loved L'elisir d'amore, The Rake's Progress and A Midsummer Night's Dream. The extravagant experience will not be forgotten in a hurry. Head to glyndebourne.com for information and tickets.
