1 She Embraces Her Age

Unbelievably, Helen Mirren is 77 years old - and determined to continue living life to the full!

"Life doesn't stop," she stressed on ITV's Lorraine. "Creativity doesn't stop, passion doesn't stop, energy doesn't stop - unless you decide to stop it. Be self-motivated. Never give up. Find enjoyment."

On another occasion, she revealed that her mother gave her an important piece of advice - "Never worry about getting older".

"She was absolutely right," Helen laughed. "You die young or you get older, there's nothing in between. Take it on the chin and roll with it!"

Helen also hit back at stereotyped ideals about how older women should look.

"You're not supposed to have longer hair after a certain age," she said, flicking back her glossy platinum locks. "During Covid, I started growing my hair and it grew and grew and grew. It's pretty cool. I think I'll stick with it for a little while."
