Much like oysters, ice baths and Coldplay, dual-screen laptops aren't for everybody.
HOT FIVE #1
FOLD ME CLOSER Asus Zenbook Duo (2026)
But if you're on board with the whole idea, the new Zenbook Duo might be the one to beat: it takes the old version and improves it in almost every way.
The 14in 3K OLED screens are closer together to make them look more like one; power comes from Intel's new Core Ultra Series 3 processors; and it's better at keeping things cool when you give the CPU something to really test it. You can choose up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage, and there's a 99Wh battery, so despite having to power two displays it should easily last a whole day.
A kickstand lets you pick between four modes: classic laptop, dual-screen with the keyboard detached, desktop mode with the two screens in portrait, or fully flat so two people on opposite sides of a table get a screen each. When shut, the little gap between the two halves gives you somewhere to stash the Bluetooth QWERTY, so you can chuck the Zenbook in your bag and head out to eat oysters and listen to Coldplay in an ice bath.
As hot as... Tabasco on those oysters from £2300/go.stuff.tv/Duo2026
HOT FIVE #2LOVE ME FENDER Fender ELIE 12
Fender is most famous for its guitars, but it's actually been making amplifiers for longer- did you know the first Marshall amp was a copy of a Fender circuit? So this is a company with great pedigree when it comes to the business of moving air... but the ELIE 12 is probably the first Fender speaker you'd want sitting on your sideboard.
