FUJIFILM INSTAX WIDE EVO

The 1930s called - it wants its camera back.
-

Oh yeah? Well 2015 called and it wants its jokes back. Regardless of how geriatric your chat is, you don't need to be Ansel Adams to appreciate the retro styling of this latest addition to Fujifilm's Instax arsenal. There's no touchscreen here, just a standard 3.5in LCD for framing your shots, so phone snappers will have to navigate an alien world of physical controls, including a shutter lever rather than a button, dials to choose which film simulation and lens effect you want to use, and a control ring around the lens to adjust the strength of each one.
Hmm, sounds complicated.
Not at all. This is an instant camera so it's designed to be really easy and fun to use, but the Wide Evo aims to make the whole thing feel a bit more grown-up. For starters, it has a 16MP 1/3in CMOS sensor (that's about the same size as you'll find in most phones), plus it uses the less common Instax Wide film, with a switch on the front to choose between 28mm and 16mm focal lengths. That means the pictures it spits out when you turn the handle on the side are that bit bigger than you usually get from an instant.
