As India rapidly adopts artificial intelligence (AI) across industries, the need for responsible Al is increasingly urgent.

Ethical considerations like privacy, security, fairness, and transparency are now central to Al strategies. The Indian government's IndiaAI mission underscores the importance of trustworthy Al in the nation's digital future. Businesses are also adapting, with 42% of surveyed companies dedicating over 10% of their Al budgets to responsible initiatives. Despite advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, concerns about data misuse, bias, and accountability remain.

How do we maintain control over Al so it does not mislead, misinform, or harm humans? How do we ensure the Al models being integrated into products are not infringing on copyrighted content, imparting bias, or otherwise detrimentally interfering with livelihoods? How do we provide Al with the necessary level of self-sufficiency and autonomy while also protecting both consumers and business?
