Mecha versus monsters is fertile ground for awesomeness. There's something about humans wielding the apex of their own world's technology to ward off the ever-encroaching inevitability of death, that really gets my juices flowing. Clearly, I watched too much Neon Genesis Evangelion and Tekkaman Blade when I was younger.

So, Mechborn. In this mechs-versus-kaiju roguelike deckbuilder, you select a pilot, who has their own set of unique skills, and then you select a mech, which again has its own unique strengths. In my hands-on time, I could only select one pilot, Yumi Yukino, and one mech, Boreas. However, developer Turtle Juice states that there will be 12 pilots and many mechs to choose from in the full release, with different pilot/mech combos leading to unique synergies or abilities.
