Kaspersky warns that viral “create a caricature using everything you know about me” prompts could expose users to identity theft and targeted scams.

A new AI trend is circulating across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn: users upload a photo and ask artificial intelligence tools to generate a caricature based on their life, their job, and “everything the AI knows” about them.

The results are playful and highly personalized—animated versions of professionals at their desks, parents with their families, or entrepreneurs surrounded by symbols of their industry.

But behind the creative appeal lies a growing cybersecurity concern.

According to Kaspersky, this trend may unintentionally expose sensitive personal information, making users more vulnerable to identity impersonation and social engineering attacks.

It's Not Just a Filter

Unlike a simple photo effect, these AI prompts often encourage users to provide detailed context. To make the illustration more accurate, users frequently share their company name, job title, corporate logos, city, routines, hobbies, and even family details.

Each of these pieces of information contributes to building a more complete digital profile. When combined with a photo, they can reveal patterns about a person's workplace, responsibilities, frequently visited places, and personal relationships.
